Whether Luther said or didn't say "Here I stand. I cannot do otherwise," the words will always be connected with him and thus be revered as symbolic not only of Lutheranism but also of Protestantism as a whole.

I enjoyed "Luther at the Diet of Worms," John, and hope that you'll have more articles on Luther, a man whom I've admired ever since I first read about him in high school history.

Thanks for the comments, Bob! And I'll take to heart your request for more articles on Luther. I am working on an article about prayer and Luther will play a prominent role in that as well.
