Mishnah and Talmud were both assembled sometime after the first century. Rabbi Milgrom published his JBS Commentary on Numbers, I believe, in 1990.

Are you suggesting that the both rabbis changed their views to make it appear that the death of the high priest was a source of the NT doctrine of atonement?
