Hi My name is Kristine, 32 years old. Got sick really bad the first time about a year ago. Found out I have Arthritis in my spine when I got hurt in a acident. Then it spread everywhere to all my joints, including my jaws. I could barley walk and was sick everyday. I run a fever and feel sick to my stomach and ache really bad all over. There are days I can barley walk. Then I got better for awhile with the help of a psychic and Crystal therapy. But now I am sick again and running the fevers, ache bad and it has spread again to other joints. Boy I can just about tell you every joint in my body....but anyways, I have the congestion in the lungs now and constant running on my sinuses. It runs down the back of my throat. I get dizzy at times as well and have to go and lay down. I don't have the burning and swelling in my joints like RA does, I have the aching and popping. Sleepy all the time and no energy at all. And when I do get energy I get tired real quick. Can anyone help me? I am going for a Lupus test soon in about a month, what should I ask the doctor about it when I go for the test?

Hello Kristine and welcome.I have had Lupus for two years now and still trying to understand the pattern of the syptoms.Sometimes you have them all at the same time and other times on at a time. I am now trying to find a way to deal with the hip pain that goes into my back. Your symptoms do sound like Lupus. The best thing that I can suggest for you to do is to write down you symptoms in detail to take to the doctor with you. Don't forget to date them and how long they last. For you own information write what you were doing when the symptom occurred so that you can try to predict what brings on a flare. Best Wishes-- posted by ej47

thanks everyone for the help. I do write all my sypmtoms down on my online journal. It's easier toi keep trck of what is going on and the doctors could have the access to it as well if they wanted to see what all the symptoms are. I will visit the other forum as well, thanks!-- posted by itzatlantis

In response to message posted by micklady:Writing is wonderful. I write my symptoms on a monthly basis. The only problem I have with it is that when I show the doctors I feel they are just skimming through it.
I have been battling with Chronic illness for 3 years and Lupus is always in the back of my mind. I do have a lot of fibromyalgia symptoms though.
It is so puzzling and it is hard when family and friends just don't get it.
I guess I am rambling because I am in a mood, but I am in a lot of pain right now. I am bruised all over my legs and my chest is killing me.
I have anemia and a positive ANA. But doctors are saying it isn't Lupus. I have joint pain and muscle pain and am on anti-depressant for pain.
I get so exhausted after being in the sun and the pain is so unbearable, so I am just a puzzle with a missing piece![]()
My grandfather had Discoid Lupus and my cousin was just diagnosed with Lupus so it does run in the family.
I don't get the rashes, but I do get dry patches around my chin and eyes once in a blue moon. But all the other symptoms are there.
Who knows? I am just venting. Thanks for listening

In response to message posted by Tery:Hello Tery and I am so glad to hear you vent! You made me feel good...bec I feel that way too, so many times!
Sometimes writing it down or talking to some one who really understand s can be the best medicine.
Sure hope Karyn is doing well! Hope to hear from her soon!
talk soon!

In response to Please help! posted by itzatlantis:I would ask the doctor what the probability is that I may have discoid lupus or systemic lupus versus another "invisible disease" such as fibromayalsia, a type of arthritis, chronic fatigue, etc. I would want to know why I was receiving a test for lupus, if he was just trying to rule it out as an option, or if it was the physician's concern. Just my two cents! ;)
