I can't sleep at night because I feel like I am in a bed of fire-ants. Nothing I do apart from knock-out meds works. I take prescripts for diabetes, high blood pressure, a B additive (Foltx or Folbee), and a few more vitamin sups. This hasn't ever been like it is now.My MD say - it's stress - you have a very stressful job. What! Can someone tell me what this stuff is??? -- posted by myboo1 » micklady - Re: Stress? or What? In response to message posted by myboo1:Hey Boo, welcome. DON"T you just love it when they say STRESS....stop already! I just a few days of itchy arms and legs...don't know the cause. I just get it from time to time. -- posted by micklady » SnowWhite24 - New itcher I just start really itching for a week or two now. I don't know whats going on! So when I did a search on itchy hands I came across this site.I get REALLY itchy. My hands, feet, arms and legs. When I start itching there is nothing there, as I continue itching little bumps start to come up. The worst is the top and bottom of my hands and in between my fingers! Does anyone have any ideas on what the heck is going on with me? I'm starting to get a little worried! Please help! -- posted by SnowWhite24 » eeeuuu - Re: New itcher In response to message posted by SnowWhite24:I just started 3 days ago. 35yo male in good heath. In the morning, before I left for work, I had extremely itchy feet, and thought it was a minor case of athlete's foot. Bought some Tinactin, and thought that was that. The next day, I start getting itching between my fingers, the palms of my hands, and the base of my thumbs. The skin reddens up only from scratching, then fades after 5 minutes or so. For the last two days, every 2 to 3 hours, either my hands (between fingers, bases of thumbs, and isolated areas on palms)and feet (bottom of the middle (arch) of my foot, top of and between toes, and sides of my heels) start itching almost uncontrollably. I've trained my self to resist itching and it goes away in a minute or so. If I start itching, it lasts until I stop itching. WHAT IS GOING ON? Never had any allergies or skin problems. Stress, heck yes, but COME ON! I don't why I ask on a place like this, all you lame brains are as ignorant as me. -- posted by eeeuuu » micklady - Re: Re: New itcher In response to message posted by eeeuuu:Hello EEE, glad to see you stop in here...sorry to hear that you have itching problems, too! So a pain in the butt! For those of us who have Lupus, we do have problems with stress causeing us to go into a flare up. So trying to control our flare ups is oh so challenging. Mind over matter...Yup that has worked for me too, on some occassions. Usually I know what will bring my itching on so I try to advoid the things that start the itching. Again easier said then done. Good luck with your itching. -- posted by micklady » Nickie46 - Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: itchy hands and feet In response to message posted by lucy_light:Hi there! I came to this site the other day due to itching in both my hands and feet.Severe itching..anyway I went to the Dr.and I was told that I had adult Fifths better known as parvovirus. All of the symptoms are soooo similar to lupus. People have been known to have it in there system for years. Or when they get another virus it tends to go to the hands and feet. Both swelling and pain in the joints.(also itching). I thought I would throw this out there...maybe this will help someone. P.S. It is not life threatening and does go away. Most of us had it as children without even knowing however if you never did have it,it is a monster as an adult. -- posted by Nickie46 » yaffa - Re: itchy hands and feet, Wellbutrin + loss of sleep!!! Hi,I starting up with the feet itching and then added hands and wrists to the mix. I too am on Welburin for about a month, but i am sure that I had experienced this briefly before taking it. I have awoken at about 4 AM last couple of nights; last night the itching was on the bottoms of my feet; tonight it began on the tops of my toes, then arches and then my hands began. After about an hour it starts to subside and if I am lucky I can get back to sleep... any more news on what this is? What I do know is, this site is no help whatsoever. -- posted by seht » Christi73 - Re: Re: Re: itchy hands and feet, Wellbutrin + loss of sleep!!! In response to message posted by seht:To seht I am so sorry you feel this way about this site. We think of it as a support group for people who are suffering from lupus and like diseases. It has offered me plenty of support and advice from people who know what I am going through because they are going through the same thing. I hope you get some help with your itchiness. Take care.
