I've read all the postings regarding this subject but haven't found anyone that mentions my dilemma. About three months ago my doctor told me I was hypothyroid and put me on Synthroid. Soon after I started getting bumps, welts really on the tops of my hands and wrists that are quite itchy. The doctor wasn't very helpful when I mentioned them, said I was probably washing my hands too much and I should use a good moisturizer. I have them everyday and now they are appearing on the top of my feet. I really wonder if it is because of the thyroid medicine I am taking. I switched to Armour thinking maybe it was the synthetic thyroid replacement that was the problem, but the welts are still here. Problem is I have to stay on the Thyroid medicine. I haven't been able to find anywhere that this is a side affect from this medicine. Has anyone else had this problem?
