I just found this site and found that I too have some of the same symptoms. I first though had an allergic reaction to shellfish. I was at the beach and handled some raw shrimp (trying to get them ready for the grill) and then ate some when cooked. Developed a terrible rash, hives, felt sick - hands swelled up and were itchy and even throbbed. Ended up at the immediate care and had steroid and antihistime shot. Everything got better for a couple of days and then peaked again. I ended up back in IC again - this time was prescribed oral steroids. I am now going into the second week and while the rash and hives are better - the itchy palms and hands are worse than ever. I have been taking benedryl and that seems to help some but not enough to take the edge off. I read the post about the honey and I am going to try and see if I can find that. It is just a miserable feeling. I too also have some of the itching on the insides of my thighs and the backs of my knees and thighs. It is just the strangest feeling. Also strange that no one has mentioned Lupus to me before so I will now ask to be tested for that. Thanks for allowing me to vent.
