Hi there,Am a new memeber to the site and have been trying desperatley hard to research what causes itchy hands and feet?
I have had my problem now for at least five months and only began when I moved to a new address. The itching started for no apparant reason, but does happen on very frequent basis and lasts for an hour. I have spent that hour massaging and putting witch hazel etc to no avail. It definitely feels internal as well as external but the internal itching is like a tingling sensation that shoots from one point of location to another as if it is spreading all over inside.
I am positive that this problem is by far more nerve related than anything and diet can trigger that off as it can agitate the nervous system. I can't be sure, though it can't be anything else when my hygeine is pretty good and have been tested negative on other possible causes. The body is so easily prone to stree and often people do not realise it and strongly beleive that it really can cause innumerable and unidentified problems that activate 'nervous' itches which are the itchy hands and feet however internal and aggressive the attacks can be.
also, just worth a thought. Is it possible for lightwaves from computer sitting to interfear with neurological senses? - there has been a direct correlation in terms of when it began for me. The itching can happen at any time of day or night but it's as if blood is somehow not being reached to those areas where I have been sitting for a long period of time and pain and ache in feet is where the blood does not reach. These are all unexplored possibilities but also worth a try. I often feel like cutting hands and feet off it can be that bad!

In response to hands/feet/feet/hands posted by TracyD65:This is so unreal. I thought I was going insane. I too have the itchy palms and feet. Only at night and early morning. It comes and goes. Keeps me up at night and benadryl does not work. Two weeks ago went to the everglades and was bitten several times by something on a tour boat. It was a few hurs after that, that symptoms occcured. I'm not taking welbutrin but have been on it several times and do not recall this occurance. I think it is a severe reaction to several mosquito or spider bites. I'm hoping it will subside soon as I need some please. It seems to get worse when I sweat or have physical exersion. I was so glad to read of others. If anyone can get some relief please help.

In response to hands/feet/feet/hands posted by efdock:Hi,
I started suffering with itchy feet and hands when i first met my new husband. I thought it was due to the long drive to his place on weekend visits. As my feet would itch and be so painful that i struggled to walk. My hands then became itchy and swollen also so bad that i could not grip items in everyday life. This seems to be happening more and more and its driving me nuts. Some people think its food additives so im going to cut them out bland i know but what else can i do. Any idea's. I also get tiny red blotches on my feet and palms of my hands. I also suffer with urticria but not sure still what causes my reactions.
