Dear Pat,As an organic gardener and fellow phoenician,I was interested in your experience here.
I now only have a small plot. with which I have some fun, especially, since I am devotee of Shepard's gardens seeds. My neighbors are always wondering what this or that plant is.
I'm glad you mentioned the County Extension service. As a former 4-Her, I turn to them often. I also have gotten great advice from John, one of the Master Gardeners at Harpers Scottsdale nursery. He is very accomodating. Why take the hard way? when an expert is willing to save you some time?. Thank you.
