Hi, Pat --

Thank you for writing this helpful article. I have been unable to grow much of anything here in the desert (other than oleander and bougainvillea which are pretty un-killable), so I've been reading your articles closely. Perhaps one day my patios will be as beautiful as they were meant to be!

Mari, thank you for your kind comments. It is possible to grow a marvelous variety of things in the low desert, just a matter of the right thing in the right place with the proper care. Please check out March article for some drought-resistant plants.
