» Tina_Coruth - Good point!

Hi Kathryn,

As you know, here in the northeast, the news day after day is about the scandal in the Church. With new cases being disclosed on a regular basis, it seems overwhelming. You made an excellent point -- this could be a turning point for the Roman Catholic Church. If the Church leaders would accept full responsibility for not addressing this terrible problem, and be open and honest, this horrible tragedy could turn out to be a whole new beginning for the Church and Roman Catholics everywhere.

Thanks for a thought provoking article!
Tina

I'm in agreement, if it was all dealt with openly and swiftly, then the Catholic Church will receive far more credibility and respect for accepting the crisis and rising above it. A very thought provoking article Kathryn, thank you smile

Thanks for coming by and commenting. People ask if this has affected my Catholic faith. It really hasn't affected my faith and love for the church at all. Our faith is so far above these terrible sins.

I just pray for all the victims - that they find peace, great mental health and have wonderful lives. It can be a struggle to be a successful person after something traumatic. God be with them and their families.
