» weather_doctor - Memories

Sylvan,

Thanks for the Guelph photos, brings back memories of my two decades in the Royal City. I miss the strong changes of Ontario. Here on the West Coast, the seasons change more gradually and though Christmas is still three weeks away, the cherry blossoms of Spring are only a two months in the future. The storms of last week here have finally emptied many of the trees of leaves.

I remember one late November day in Guelph going for a run down past St Joseph's hospital and seeing a young man seek shelter in the lee of a pencil thin, leafless maple during an ice pellets storm. I countinued running to the rhythm of the pellets off my raincape hood.
