Hi Silvan, it's truly encouraging that Lake Erie is being restored. I lived on the American side of the lake for 32 years, (Cleveland area) and in the 50s, when I came to America as a teen, Edgewaterr Beach was my favorite hang-out throughout that decade. Even then, Lake Erie was already in trouble, but not as bad yet. Of course, just a few years later, Edgewater Beach was closed to the public. I remember the Cuyahoga River catching on fire, and the massive clean up that began to take place, after. These days, the river supports life, and river front attractions abound. And Edgewater Beach is once again used for swimming and hanging out in, I'm told. Yes, we can do much to change things for the better!

Thank you for this great article on Lake Erie. And I love the photos. Hope you're doing well, Silvan!
