» weather_doctor - An Erie Return

Van,

Another great article!

I remember when I first started talking on the environment, the first Earth Day, a common phrase was "Lake Erie is dead."

I am glad to see three decades later that it is alive and well and continuing to snow on Buffalo (8'>).

I visited the Turkey Point area a decade or so ago when I took a week off work to renew myself. I drove down to the TP park and lay on the beach watching the birds and revelling in the quiet of an sunny but chilly, early April afternoon.

I had told the office I was going away so I would not be bothered at home. When I returned to work the next week, I could truthfully say I went south and lay in the sun on a sandy beach.
