» Renie_Burghardt - Chemistry of Love

Very interesting, Silvan. The squirrels have definitely been bitten by the "love" bug, in my yard, too. But the deer have just finished the rutting season, and the bucks are back to the buddy system again, instead of being competitors. I see several bucks hanging out together now. As for humans, I think after the chemistry begins to vane, companionship takes on more importance, and love deepens on another level. But the days are definitely getting longer, and I even heard the peepers at the pond last week, when the weather had turned spring-like, peeping their spring "love" calls, and the male cardinals are getting more attentive again, at the bird feeders.

I enjoyed the article, Silvan. Thank you. Hope you are doing well. Renie

» JLevack - Good stuff

I think you have it right. Parrots, with each successive generation in captivity become more like humans in procreation. Lovebirds in their natural habitat have a cycle based on climate and access to food. The paired lovebirds who shared my life, being secure and well nourished, started thinking of love as soon as they could throw their latest hatchlings out of the nest.

» Sunbear - Love, et al

Hi Van,

I overlooked this excellent article somehow what with all the changes going on at Suite101.

Enjoyed your look at the physical aspect of the love game and learned quite a bit about how Nature transmits its signals for reproduction.

Best wishes (Glad you are still here)
Tom

» lawrenceX - Re: So that's how it works!

I'm getting pretty amazing results with Pherone formula M-11 from Pherone pheromones http://www.pherone.com.

I find that women are a lot more friendly and interested in me, and I've caught a couple of them sniffing me (the product is unscented so it's not any cologne scent they're looking for).

I've also heard things like "I don't know what it is about you but you've got something..." etc.

Check it out...

Also, if you want to enhance your own pheromones, use alcohol (rubbing or purell, etc.) under your arms after washing instead antiperspirants or deodorants.

The alcohol will kill the bacteria which cause smells, while not interfering with your natural pheromone secretion.

» Jane64 - pheromones do work!

I just tried pheromones for the first time and they defintely do have an impact. I tried it at the club last week and I could defintely see a difference in how women reacted when I approched them. I bought mine from http://www.coaxx.com since they were prty cheap. Its a damn good product.
