Your front and back patio sound wonderful and I know you enjoy them. I certainly enjoyed visiting you there. I have driven through Arizona several times but only stopped for gas. I am back online now and trying to get caught up.

From everyone I know who has ever been to New Zealand, I hear that it is quite a beautiful place and that the people are every bit as wonderful as us Arizonans! :-)

Dubh Sidhe -

It's good to see you're back online again!

One of these days, you will have to stop in Arizona for a real visit. It has many, many climates -- Upper and Lower Sonoran deserts, high desert riparian areas, deciduous-evergreen forest, pinyon-juniper forest, pine forest, alpine forest, high country lakes, and above-the-timberline areas. Altitudes vary from several hundred feet above sea level to 12,700 feet. You would find many bits and pieces for your Folklore topic, I'm sure.

Sorry about the ramble - I should let you return to catching up.

Best wishes,

Mari, I enjoyed visiting your patios. I'm sure spring in the desert is spectacular. You included so many nice links in the article and I learned more about white-winged doves. We have quite a few come to the feeders here along with mourning doves and Inca doves. They seem so "elegant". Hummingbirds migrate through here and dine on my honeysuckle. Dusk is my favorite time to sit outside, and I love to watch the little flickering fireflies, although there are sometimes mosquitoes to fight!

I'm glad you enjoyed visiting my patios. I'm glad the links were useful. Sounds like you have a lovely place, too, with the doves and honeysuckle and fireflies!

Mari, I loved the article, and your links were great. I especially loved the white-winged dove. We don't have so many hummingbirds in Colorado, so I'm a little envious.

Hi, B.J. -

Thank you for taking the time to read the article and post your comments. Colorado may not have many hummingbirds, but your State is absolutely breathtaking!
