Caribbean with my daughters last year. We researched and found great rates. By going in November the cost was lots less and the weather was beautiful. It was our little getaway and did wonders for me. I'm glad you could take a getaway with your mother; it's good for the soul.

I've been to Sedona and the shopping center you talked about - also looked a lot and bought little. It was fun. Sedona is a magical place, but you're right - it can be pricey if you don't do your homework.

For a different experience sometime, take a trip to Jerome. The art is fantastic in this little mining town.
