Hi Joyce, I enjoyed part 3 in this series. It's too bad Ruth Etting didn't get the recognition she deserved. I saw the movie with Doris Day, and thought well of it. Of course, I was a Doris Day fan! Wasn't everyone? smile Excellent article, Joyce. I hope you are doing well. Renie

Hi Renie,

Thanks so much for your kind comments. Of course, I'm a Doris Day fan, too, even before she became an animal welfarist. I received an interesting letter today from a man who's working on a bio of Ruth Etting. He was very indignant about the movie version of her life, although she worked as an advisor. He seemed to think I'd misrepresented Ruth; I just wish he'd posted his comments here. Would it be violating anything if I posted his letter here?

I enjoyed this series of articles on Ruth Etting. You did a wonderful job telling the accomplishments of this great lady. I do like those old movies and will have to watch for Love Me or Leave Me.
