» Blackstock - Memorial Visit
I enjoyed my first visit to the memorial and plan another trip this weekend. Most haunting to me is an impression in one of the old beds where his father is said to have slept off his drunkeness alone. His huge impression in the little bed is still there.The view from the porch is beautiful if you can overlook the surrounding hotels and remember what it must have been like when Perkins visited it.
If I do go this weekend (July 6, 2002), I will recommend your article to the curators there unless you've already done so.
