» pamela_saint - Anne Carson Hi Diana,Happy 2003! I've read reviews of Anne Carson's work, and I've hesitated, out of sheer intimidation, to pick it up. You've written a wonderfully enticing review, however. -- posted by pamela_saint » dsadams - Re: Anne Carson In response to message posted by pamela_saint:Hi Pamela, when it comes to poetry I have learned to not give in to intimidation. In fact I have published poetry this year, after decided that I too could roll up my sleeevs and jump in. The beauty about 'Plainwater' and 'Autobiography of Red' is their readability. If the reader wants to delve in and learn about the classics they can, especially with the aid of the internet. If not these works are wonderfully enriching in their relevancy to todays concerns. Thanks for popping in, and here's to another year of great books to write about ...Diana -- posted by dsadams » pamela_saint - Re: Re: Anne Carson In response to message posted by dsadams:Hi Diana, Your note about your poetry publication worked like a good luck charm for me. Just today, I received notice of my first acceptance from a print journal of two of my poems! Thank you for your poetry karma. -- posted by pamela_saint » dsadams - Re: Re: Re: Anne Carson In response to message posted by pamela_saint:Congratulations, I know how thrilling that can be!!!!! I would love to read your poetry, do you want to do a poetry swap (read each others poetry that has been accepted)? Cheers, raise a glass of champagne, -- posted by dsadams » pamela_saint - Re: Re: Re: Re: Anne Carson In response to message posted by dsadams:Diana, I'd love to share. Shall we e-mail? -- posted by pamela_saint » dsadams - Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Anne Carson In response to message posted by pamela_saint:Hi Pamelaa, good idea. The best email to send it to me is at dianasadams@shaw.ca. Where shall I email you? I am always looking for a discussion about poetry because one tends to write in a void (so to speak) and feedback is so valuable. -- posted by dsadams
