Hello:
Yes, overall, I did like David's piece on LaVerendrie quite a bit. I was not familiar with his life, though I know quite a bit on early Canadian subjects, so it was short enough not to bore me. His piece was well enough written to get me interested, so I went to his links and was delighted by the last two, the one, www.laverendryetrail because, though huge, was so complete, but, for my heart, but especially by www.lafete.org.... which was so easy and interesting in its simplicity!!! I also loved the little drawing used as links in tha site Yes, I was disappointed that the first link (www.franco-manitobain) did not work... but thank you David for having found so good links. I would have given David Newman's good edit and story 4 Stars, if not for the missing link, as it is. I gave him 3. What do you guys think, did he encapsulate well the many years of La Verendrye's daily toiling???? Danielle
