» Wolvie27 - Umm, yeah... Excuse me, but I have a different view of things... I'm not glad the election stuff is over myself. I thought the election process is a little skewed in that an election can happen so quickly after it has been called, giving political candidates a very short time period to voice their platform to the nation, so they step up the volume, and the public seems to hate them all the more for it.That really bugs me these days, how people can wine and moan how bad the government is dealing with them and their concerns, then turn around and say how negative politicians are. Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't politicians supposed to represent the public? Then there is a total lack of participation in voting, but I very much doubt that will stop anyone from complaining. Oh well, it just shows how we're all really good at laying the blame on everything but ourselves... And about the Mike Harris government, I would like to say, "Be glad you don't have the BC NDP in government, who've been doing more then 2 terms despite numerous 'short falls'." Conservative or socialist agenda aside, it seems governments these days are getting a bum rap. Have you ever tried running a government before, pleased everyone, managed to show respect for future generations, and mantained order in your many ministries? Then again, we are a democracy, and democracies, I have been told, are run by the people. But chances are its the elephant's or donkey's fault, right? Hmm... -- posted by Wolvie27
