Well, the Students have managed to get some sort of deal, which saw the 103 restored in two years, with the help of federal dollars. If you analyse the numbers, it isn't all that great an offer, but about half the students have voted to accept it.
Right now though, being the Second anniversary of the Charest Government, students, unions, citizens are protesting this government under the "I never voted for this Coalition". As you may have heard, the Charest government is probably the least popular party in the history of Quebec as they have only 21% support at the moment. Putting them in third behind the PQ and the ADQ.
THings are really moving in Quebec these days. What with an unpopular PLQ and an unpopular PLC who knows what will happen. For the short term, it seems that the Students have kind of given up, at least in certain schools.
