» loftyjet - What about female librarians?

I enjoyed the article but I find it strangely unnerving that Carver doesn't mention any female librarians who are doing great things for the profession! What about Genie Tyburski, Mary Ellen Bates, Mary Dee Ojala, Reva Basch, etc.!!!

For a profession dominated by women, I think it's cause for concern that not one is mentioned. Any thoughts????

Interesting observation... there's also Marylaine Block, Racher Singer Gordon, and Susan McGlamery to name just a few more. Readers might be interested in LJ's 2002 Movers & Shakers article http://libraryjournal.reviewsnews.com/in...
