I can relate.. I get frustrated by being stuck in narrow little boxes and the like. I like to wear mini skirts and doc martens just to mess with people's conceptualization of masculinity and feminity. (Gender fucking.. it's an actual academic term)

I have to admit, I am, I admit, a bit vain about my appearance (though it may not be apparent on the outside). And yet mostly I don't really think about whether people think I'm queer or not queer. Odd.... I just assume that everyone knows and no one cares, but that is probably not the case.

I suppose, if you really think about it, lesbian or strait, we're still being catagorized as hominids... and perhaps I have been spending too much time looking into Donovan's eyes (my oldest cat) but it seems to me that it would be more noble to aspire to a hire life form... and be seen as catlike.

And, you Debra, as I recall, are very catlike. Not like Mr. Boo of course... but catlike nonetheless.
