Thanks so much for writing this article. I wasn't aware of this book's existence. I must get a copy! I like the way you shared your personal experience. I, too, wish there had been some books "out there" to help me understand what I was feeling when I was an adolescent. I had to resort to dictionaries and encyclopedias. And when that didn't suffice, I turned to the Bible...talk about being totally confused. This is the 21st century! We are living in time where information is practically at our fingertips. It makes it very difficult to fathom the idea of someone seeking to suppress information as well as burn and ban books. Thanks again for bringing this to our attention.

Debra,

I'm so glad you submitted this article to the Honoring the Children Event. It is a topic that needs to be addressed. We must ensure that our children's feelings are taken into consideration, no matter what. You have spoken to many confused teens in this article. Thank you for having the courage to stand up for the rights of children who might otherwise not have any understanding of their feelings.

I thoroughly agree with your statement that banning books promotes sales. Everyone wants to buy the book to find out exactly what is in it.

I am approving this article for my event. Thanks for your participation. I really do appreciate it.
