» Cepheron - worried about my girlfriend

hi! saw this great site for lesbians while i was looking around and was wondering if u could give me some much needed advice

I'm 20 and i have been lesbian almost all as far as i can remember and recently i got attached to this wonderful girl who's 22. She's very caring and attentive and great person to be around.
but our problem is that she only recently became a lesbian (few months ago) and is having some trouble with her friends who are not used to it. she feels she losing her best friend because of being a lesbian and is considering a break up with me coz she doesnt want to lose her friend. she tinks i dont understand how she feels. i really dont want to lose a wonderful girl like her.
dont know what to do or how to comfort her.
could you please advice?
Thanks alot

» biogardener - sounds like

It sounds like your new friend needs to sort out her life by herself and that you may need to be supportive but patient. Naturally, she wants to hold onto her other friends.

Let her know that you are there for her any time she wants to talk, but don't push. Let her make her own decisions. Otherwise she will resent you later and blame you for the breakup of her other friendships.
