I have enjoyed the posts on this subject, but I have a question. There are so many tales about the battle with no clue as to their origin, I was wondering if anyone knows thelast true account of Richard and his state of mind before the battle.
There were no eyewitness accounts from the battle itself, when was the last true recorded account of Richard discussing the battle? Also, does anyone know if he was wearing German made armour as has been reported? Thanks, Lynda

I too am interested in Bosworth field, but more specifically the use of the Leicestershire Roman roads by Richard and Henry. Of specific interest is the Mancetter-Leicester section that passed through Kirkby Mallory. Are these active research projects or groups working the area? Many thanks.

You know I'm afraid I know little about the roads or if anyone actively researches them, although I'm sure someone does somewhere.
The best advice I could offer here would be to contact Leicester University's history section. Usually if something is being researched, they are aware of it.
