Your article prompted memories of my past Christmases, Shannon. What I remember most about Christmas when I was a child are the Sunday School programs and the Christmas dinners. What I remember most about Christmas when my adult daughter, Allison, was a child are our decorating the Christmas tree and our early Christmas morning opening of gifts. They are all fond memories.There are two children in my family now, five-year-old Robert and almost-four-year-old Shekinah. Like you with your kids, I'm "going to spend time with them, have fun with them and show them what Christmas is really all about." I hope that both they and I (and my wife, Leonora) will look back on our Christmases together with the same pleasure that I look back on my past Christmases.
