» JGustafsonb - Question about Hobnail Afghan

http://www.crochetpartners.org

Hello!
Above is an addy that contains the pattern for the Hobnail Afghan.
I am almost done with the afghan when I read ahead. I am not quite sure with the Finishing part of it. The instructions tell you to work from left to right. Can someone explain this to me?
Thank you so much, Jackie

In response to message posted by JGustafsonb:

Hi Jackie. That edging is called Crab Stitch (though they didn't say) and you would be a bit confused if you didn't know what that was. It is worked from left to right and is done opposite the way a regular crochet stitch is worked. Actually it's easy to do but feels rather left-handed when you're doing it. All you do is work a normal stitch but go from left, into next stitch on your right. In this particular pattern, the instruction say to work into front loop only. That means the single, top loop of the chain from previous row, closest to you. Email again if you're still having trouble. The hobnail stitch is coming into favor again and this is going to be a lovely textured design. Bye for now,
