Jerri,

The boys love your topic, as they do many others at Kids' Korner. It's just finding the time to get online.

Happy Valentine's Day

» maxw - diggle

A diggle is a pea plant that takes in so much iron that it dies. Scientists are trying to learn from it how to get other plants to take in just a little more iron.

If I get to choose what websites you find, then I hope you can find websites that have lots of contests for kids, because I love contests.

Hi Jerri,

I know what mites are (as cool as it is, I don't think I will be making a "mite box" LOL), but I had no idea what a diggle is until now. Very interesting! As always, I enjoyed following these great links. Thank you!!

LOL! This is rich, Jerri! Never heard of a diggle, but like Tina, I know of mites. Whenever I take Bear to the Vet, I am always faced with a huge picture on the wall showing the full life cycle of mites. I always enjoy it, not because of the mites in particular, but because I love charts. I think charts are fascinating. The new "definitions" of mites in your links are great. Me thinks I am in for a great educational tour! v

Thank you, Max! You are the first to answer, so that means I will write an article on contests for kids next issue.

Thank you for visiting. I'm glad you got the answer.

Glad you found some interest here, Lee. I sure enjoy writing at this topic as I love to "play" with all the new information I learn.

Charts are interesting. Guess I never thought about it before, but a good graphic is worth its weight in gold.

Thanks for stopping in!

Jerri,

Max will be delighted to know you are going to write an article on contests. I am looking forward to reading the article as well. A good contest is always a challenge. When the article is up, I will get the boys to check it out.
