» monicka77 - Mom's critical condition I'm posting this discussion for my mom.My mom had a cerebral aneurysm and brain surgery and the left side of her brain is damage, doctor's said that she's not going to talk, walk,or do anything a normal people can do, That happen to her on October,1998 she's going to 3yrs know.Since then she's been in a rehabilitation center,The condition that she has know is she has diabetic, hypertion, kidneys failure. The doctor told me on Wednesday 25 that they cannot do dialisy because she is very critical on her brain damages and she wont be able to resist the treatment he said that she wont last long.As I see her she was very active she would say hi and bye with her right hand also count her fingers she cannot talk because she has a breathing machine and a feed tube on her stomach. The doctor said that she end of stage right know she looks very tired she just wants to be sleeping .Doctor also said that they don't want to give her any medication because they don't want her to be suffering anymore he said that they just want her to be construable until the time comes. I want to know how long do people live this way with kidneys not functioning and with out dialisys I know her body will shut down but how long do you think she will be suffering like this. -- posted by monicka77
