» Carol Wallace - The shadow

It's hard to remember that our shadow sides are not necessarily all bad. Smetimes, for whatever reason, we suppress things that are potentially good. For instance, many people stifle things like their creative impulses because for various reasons they have been discouraged. Some of us stifle out assertiveness to an unhealthy degree. All of these things then become part of our shadow side.

The literature I particularly enjoy are the books where you can literally see the shadow and persona as part of one person, like in Portrait of Dorian Grey - or ones where someone is fighting their double. Otto Rank did a great book on "The Double" which has always fascinated me.

» bonfmcc - Soul Search

I just noticed from page hit stats that suddenly this month my article entitled "Soul Search" received a large number of hits. I have to ponder why now - 3 months after it was posted. I would appreciate feedback on the subject.

Bonnie, I'm not sure why that is, but hits seem to be up Suite-wide.

Did you recently submit this article to an event? That usually raises stats as well.

Possibly, we're being spidered more often by Google..

Thanks, Tamara. Whatever the reason, it is always good to see more page hits. I often check stats to see what is catching the readers' interest.
