What you name your child is vitally important how they view themselves as children and teens. Names have energy and power, no matter what your faith.

I agree with your viewpoint. We named our children after important Jewish people in the Bible and the meanings of the names had to be important as well. We decided on Josiah, Joel, Joshua, Jonathan, Eliana and Shana (last 2 aren't in the Bible but are Hebrew in origin and mean respectively My G-d has answered me and G-d is gracious. We liked those names because they are twins.)
