I have been reading your articles and want to congratulate you on building a wonderful website. What you write is 'real' and not a 'whitewash'. I have been a jazz fan since I saw my first big band, around the age of 5. My parents provided me with music lessons and I went on to learn to play jazz, became a lifelong student of jazz, and worked in music. This 'love affair' has lasted almost 60 years. Having researched the subject myself, I am wondering how you came by all this information. It seems that you have 'lived it' and not got it all, out of books. Well it will be a surprise for you that I have got all this information by reading and gathering books of all sorts. Jazz, Blues, Old Rock and Indian Classical Music are my favorites. I am just 23 years old and I wish that i could have lived that time. I want to hear from you more. Write back on my email if you can.
