I'm certain that in addition to the terrible loss we feel as a nation, all of us must have known someone in one of these buildings or planes. I have found out that the relatives that worked in the WTC were not there at the time (and one quit her job a month ago, thank God).
Can you believe it's already been more than a week? On the one hand, it feels like this catastrophe happened just yesterday... but it's also as if it's been going on for months.

I know what you mean -- it seems as if Sept 11th was yesterday, yet it seems long ago. It almost seems as if it was very long ago. The world has changed a lot in the last nine days.
