I may not be able to help with definitions but I can tell you where you are looking for. Doonasleen (more commonly referred to nowadays as Doon)is a townland in the village of Kiskeam, Co.Cork, between Ballydesmond and Boherbue. Kiskeam and Boherbue were in the Parish of Kilmeen prior to 1888 but Kiskeam is now in the parish of Boherbue. You will not find a boundary or even a mention of Duhallow on modern maps. You may not even find Kiskeam on a lot of maps either as it is small.
Millstreet is a town about 8 miles s.w. of Kiskeam on the Kerry border. E.R. I believe would mean Electoral Register (voting/administrative district)A parish can be Civil or Roman Catholic. In the case of Kilmeen it was both a civil parish and R.C parish. You will find more info on Duhallow at "http://www.kiskeam.com" where I have put links to some local towns. The site is still under construction but in time I hope it will be of more help to you. If you want to email me and let me know who you are trying to trace in Doonasleen I may be able to help.Good luck with your search.
