» Tina_Coruth - Great info! Hi Leona,Great information, as always! I didn't know about that Google tip and I use Google a lot for other research. I imagine it would be useful for a different county. I'm going to give it a try. Thanks! Tina -- posted by Tina_Coruth » Etain - Re: Great info! In response to message posted by Christina_Coruth:Yup will work for any county. Google is a great search engine for genealogy i find. You just have to really think about what you are looking for and type in the correct search terms. BTW..you do new hampshire right? I'm looking for a family that lived in NH. They were french royal imagrants. Got any hints?

There are many NH lists, as well as county lists at RootsWeb such as: NEW-HAMPSHIRE-L@rootsweb.com Although that's not the address to subscribe, but I'm sure you could find it at RootWeb. If you could tell me what town or city, I can tell you the county, then you could check out that listserv. New Hampshire heritage includes a large French population, originating in Canada and France. What is the name you are looking for? -- posted by Tina_Coruth » Etain - Re: Re: Re: Great info! In response to message posted by Christina_Coruth:
Anyway, Sophia G. Gabrion was born 1-31-1827 in New Hampshire and died 10-14-1904 in Belleville, Jefferson, New York. Her father was Albert W. Gabrion who was born 10-14-1785 and died in 1836. Her mother was Johanna Felch who was born 06-10-1800 in France and died 03-27-1867. They were married in France. Albert was born in France and was heir to a small principality there. He was a Huguenot who was disinherited after his marriage to Johanna. They moved to the US and he later died at age 51, the result of an infection following an eye injury. that's all I have so far on them. Leona -- posted by Etain
