Those calls probably don't make it past the call screener... but he knows they are there.

Ah yes Steve99, I will keep you well informed about Brinker, rest assured. I do believe that you have even trumped Stewbonz and Rodney Dietert by not making a single post on this thread that wasn't directed at me and NOT mentioning Brinker in a single one.

Strange you have come to this thread so often and have nothing to say about Brinker and all kinds of stuff to say about me.

Tells me that Brinker doesn't like what I say. You don't like what I say. You are closely associated and you both know it's the damn truth.

You have a nice fourth of July and think about where dishonesty fits into the celebration of our origin. smile

That seems to be the general consensus. The talking heads I've heard seem to be divided into two major (and lots of minor camps):

1. The bottom is here but it's going to be a long, flat bottom.
2. Another rally is here but new really low lows are coming afterwards.

The #2 camp seems to see Cisco in the 3-5 range and Intel in the 9 range. Geez. Then again, who the heck knows?

I figure after a few more of these kind of movements, people will be exhausted by the market and will be thinking about how nice CDs really are. smile

It all really comes down to this, bob is a selfish guy. He puts his own pocketbook and ego (or is it the other way around?) ahead of what is best for his subscribers & listeners. Good thing our founding Fathers were not so selfish.

Kirk, it doesn't change anything. IMO, he touted TEFQX (ONLY for very aggressive investors) as a hedge against his general market call being wrong.

If the market had gone up 30% in 2000, he could have said, "Well, the market went up, but we caught a good part of it with our 40% with much less risk, and those who took my TEFQX advice did even better!"

How do YOU explain his TEFQX call versus his criticism of the "new economy" philosophy???

Kirk, as Walkerman said, you COULD present a more balanced picture of what Brinker actually said if you wanted to. He didn't JUST say it was volatile. He said it was RISKY. He indicated if an investor didn't have the stomach for high risk and potential LARGE down swings, he should not buy it. I no longer have my old MT's and don't know the exact words, but he said something to the effect that the fund was only for those with a HIGH RISK TOLERANCE.

For you to just say that he said it was volatile is VERY misleading.

Score another point for Walkerman.

You criicized my post, obviously misinterpreting it.

Walkerman then explained that you had misinterpreted my post.

You then responded to Walkerman as though he had been talking about Brinker, instead of about my post (even though it was VERY CLEAR that he was talking about my post, and NOT about Brinker.

You need to start paying attention, or maybe take a break from this message board. A few months off couldn't hurt! - smile .
