What's the deal? Bob says AT&T has had a dismal year and has had problems with their revenue streams as well as executing their business plan. The caller wanted to know if Bob thought that the given price level ($22) presents a buying opportunity. Bob ain't touching it right now and leaves it up to the analysts who follow AT&T. Still, our buying XLF and BTTRX (strip zero's) with profits taken in technology stocks has REALLY done well!<img src=http://pvcharts.quicken.com/bin/icenter.... width=470 height=250> I own these three in my personal portfolio: XLF=Financial Sector Spyders I bought I agree 100% with Bob on Junk bonds, if you want risk, better to buy stocks! BTW, Bob didn't buy any long bonds with his 65% he put into cash in January as he felt rates would keep going up. Rande and I didn't agree and we bought XLF, BTTRX and a few others... (BTO & FSRBX if I remember) to go along with GNMA's we held. But did you see the howls of protest back in January, when VFIIX dipped that tiny bit? In response to message posted by Rande:Rande, Brinker recommends bonds as part of the overall asset allocation, in a sliding percentage according to how close one is to retirement. VOTE EARLY - Vote Often! 8) -- posted by Kirk » Kirk - Popular Vote Brinker suggests in the monologue that we should go back to the popular vote.People that talk of popular vote have NEVER studied history and have not a clue of what makes our country so great. We are a REPUBLIC that uses principles of democracy. In a nutshell: How many funds would go to North Dakota or Wyoming for interstate highways and other great stuff if we went on Majority Vote? ALL government spending would be spent on the largest states and collected from the smaller states.
