» KirkL - Rising Oil Prices - A tax in disguise!

My compliments to Bob for that very astute observation Saturday.

"Rising oil prices act the same way on consumers as rising taxes. "

It is the little gems such as that one that keeps me coming back week after week to listen.

» DennisL - Carole, Welcome...

...to Suite101! If you scroll back through the posts to this thread, you'll undoubtedly see the excellent Moneytalk summaries provided by SteveT. He does such a good job at it, we have come to depend on him for the summaries. I guess he's just been busy lately, hence the lack of summaries.

Please explore the other threads here, too. You are bound to find at least one you will like.

Oh, can someone please turn off the green? Jen?

the Green color seems to be an IE5 problem. It was not green for me in Navigator or IE3...

» CaroleF - Thanks for Answering

I have beeb reading lots of other Suite 101 threads and have enjoyed many of them. But I still miss the Brinker summaries. I can usually listen to him but every once in a while I miss and have come to rely on him--probably a little to much--as to market trends.

But I'm glad to know you are still there and I will see you on other threads--and will keep checking to see if anyone can bear to do the Brinker summaries again.

» KirkL - Keep Coming back!

We'll have summaries now and then...Perhaps you can volunteer to do a days worth?

Hopefully, that got the font in IE5 back...
I HATE it when the different browsers don't use the same HTML rules! Now you see why we discourage HTML here....
