I plan on a contrary strategy on this one. If I can get on the show on Sunday I will thank Bob for his years of help and proclaim I will buy a 1000 shares in his name. If he wants to short the stock that is up to him.

Copied from the BB.com site:

Bob, I love your show and agree with your advice, but today while driving I only heard segments. On the subject of idiot.com, may I say, "April Fools Day is past and you're the biggest fool at last?" Or did you later give a laugh? It came across as if you were hyping the stock. This sounds like a modified pyramid scheme, and the adage, "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is" holds here, I'm sure.

There is no way to hype heyidiot.com stock
because there is no stock to hype.
This is what is otherwise known as a joke.
That was the entire point!
By reading the recommended Barron's
article it was totally obvious.
Besides, there is no heyidiot.com stock
anyway, so there is nothing to hype.

You must mean AK. Alabama has 5% tax.

Did I hear correctly that Tennessee just started taxing individuals? What a shame!

Footnotes to the list of "Seven" --

NH and TN tax rates apply only to income from dividends and interest. CT has a lower rate for interest and dividends.

Should also keep in mind that the "Seven" get their money from other sources -- use taxes, utility and property taxes, intangible taxes, etc. Some of these "tax-free" states are among the highest in the country in terms of per-capita taxation. No tax on income overrides all this for high-income/high net-worth types, of course.
