» Slick - Back Again ..Back Again...Gigity Gig Greetings from Longview, as I was released ( my surprise) Sunday. Feelin' well with guarded confidence on the continued remission. There's never a let-up emotionally for down turns, but I'm learning to live with it. My typing for a match for a stem cell donor went into the national registry this week , so I'm happy about that. It was delayed because I didn't have enough of one part of my white cells lymphocytes).Minimum match time is 3 weeks, and average is 3-4 months, so staying in remission that long is the trick. Probably more chemo ( called consolidation treatments) is in order. Scarry times That's the latest, and I hope to be in chat to say hello and the usual folderol ( if that's a word) this weekend. Thanks to all of you... Slick P/S...Give Brinker credit for being on the right side of leukemia, lending his name and national program to try and cure people like me. You won't hear me with disparaging remarks. -- posted by Slick
