He tried to reduce all life to mathmatics and admitted he failed. Mathmatics are a good guideline, but but if you try to replace gut instincts and common sense with mathmatics, you will miss out on some real gravy.I guess it is all how you view man. When it comes to personal financial planning, I've got a motto -- "If you hope to have any success in achieving your financial goals, it is crucial that you have a plan in place." Anything that promotes discipline and reduces the chances for emotion to take over when it comes to financial and investment decisions is, to me, a good thing. Now, if we're talking about more important non-financial matters such as parenting, then I've got another motto -- "The more hugs, kisses, and 'I love you's the better." There's always the risk of spoiling, but I do believe that much of the world's ills are the result of not enough love and attention as opposed to too much and nobody ever died regretting spending too much time with friends and family.
