» MichaelJohn64 - Requesting assistance

I'm trying to help out my sister and brother-in-law, so any help or ideas I could get would be much appreciated.

Long story short: My middle sister and her husband were very irresponsible with their finances after they were married. They got deeply into debt and instead of declaring bankruptcy went the Consumer Credit Counseling Services route.

They are now finally paid up and free and clear of CCCS. They have been for about three months. They are now trying to refinance their mortgage to a lesser percentage rate than their current 11%. They are having an extremely difficult time finding anyone who will refinance.

My question is, does anyone know of a firm that refinances mortgages of people with past bad credit histories? Are there any tips or helpful hints for them?

Thank you very much in advance to all who reply!!!

Cordially, Mike
