Jim Rogers and Paige Parker
This archived discussion is "read only". » Papito - Mr. Rogers and Mr. Soros Is your posting considered informative? Is there a reason (besides pure envy) that you feel the need to slander this man - and Mr. Soros as well? I think you should spend your time in a different kind of chat room - your comments are not helpful here.-- posted by Papito » JeffChristy - Re: Forgot to Mention An Important Fact -- Re: Re: Jim is buying In response to message posted by Jas_Jain:Sorry Jas Rogers can not be the worlds worst trader. This guy bought big in October 2000 in the $80'S and is still holding. 2000_1016_Act_ImmediatelyQQQ.jpg If they loose 50% of their value he will still be far better off than Brinker. I don't think Rogers would lose that much because he knows what a stop is. Time will tell who is right. -- posted by JeffChristy » dija - Re: 6/21/03: A Seller, not a buyer In response to message posted by Kirk:
He definitely is a terrible market timer. He was bearish all through the 1990s. In fact, there was a big article about him in Barrons in 1986. The headline was "Bearish on the World." In the late 1990s, Jimmy declared on CNBC that long-term interest rates would "never again in our lifetimes go below 6%." Jimmy declared on Fox early this year that he would not touch Tyco (then about $11) with a 10-foot pole. Most of the people I really respect loved Tyco at that time (Bill Miller, John Neff, Christopher Davis, Jimmy is bullish on commodities, true. But Jimmy has been bullish on commondities for a long, long, long time. -- posted by dija » dija - Re: 6/21/03: A Seller, not a buyer In response to message posted by Kirk:
