Well that is a new low. They're reading all of these posts again? If that's true (and who can tell these days?) then here is me shouting:

Go back to work on the numbers Bob! That would be much more helpful for your position rather than going after your customer base. If you got your numbers right AND/OR you treated your customers with respect this board would disppear all by itself.

Why do people show such allegiance to yet another failed guru, and a nasty one at that?

I guess because he's entertaining and when he's just talking basic long term strategy, he's pretty convincing--and right, in my opinion. Yes, I know, the market timing part is up for debate, but the other stuff (asset allocation, diversification, etc.) is pretty prudent advice.

Would people be better off following a buy-and-hold long term approach?

Probably. Or possibly just as well. But I'm holding out for him being right about his timing signal. I admit it is not a necessity for investment success, but it reduced market risk in a time of rampant speculation, and for those more interested in capital preservation than in attempting to maximize performance, it was a pretty good call as far as I'm concerned.

Isn't it a worthwhile endeavor to point these things out so that more investors will have a chance for long term success?

Yes, as long as it's done fairly and objectively. That's definitely hard to do given Bob's personality and, but anything less is not very useful in my opinion.

Well, that's it. Now let's see if I get my next Marketimer delivered, or a personal phone call from Bob instead, explaining that he can no longer be of any service to me!

Jerry recently had a show on these two twin girls that were both doing the one twins fiance and they were in the lemo fighting over him. The one twin kept sitting next to her and she would get up and move to the other side of the lemo. They kept doing that for about 5 minutes. I also seen them on Ricki Lake. It was the same thing. The one sister told her she was sleeping with her man and she seemed all suprised. I couldn't believe they came and did the same show on Jerry Springer. Don't they ever find out if they have ever been on another show. I seen both shows in the same week

To all of you who bash this show, I would just like to say that its just entertainment. This society has become so comsumed with the concept that tv radio music are ruining lives and family values that they can't look past just plain old good fun. Shows like Springer and Brinkers were created for the purpose of entertaining viewers like me. If you do not like the content on his show, it is your right to NOT WATCH OR LISTEN! If you complain about this being on tv,radio change your channels. There are many others that you can chose from. Let viewers like me continue to thrive on the humor of these so-called "smut" and "investing" shows. .

We actually did not know that until you stated it here. Thank you very much for your public service.

We also have the right to criticize errors, complain about bad service, point out problems, talk back to management, etc. If you don't like that, you do have the right to post (or not) on Justa's thread:

I hope you will find this more boorish and, therefore, possibly more to your liking. I'm sure BB will appreciate your pointing out that part of his demographics overlaps with those of Jerry's.

Since Aol and Time Warner merged would it be feasible for Bob and Jerry to merge? Bob can give investment advice to Jerry`s guests.(lets face it they need help financially) and Jerry will have access to Bobs radio callers and chat rooms (they need more Jerry in thier life)
