Anyone want to consider the possibility that he will begin to back out of the QQQ starting in January? It will take more than a 60% rise from these low (provided they don't continue to slide from here)?

Hey, it's another month, it's another push out, another disaster.

I don't know how you can explain away the recent lows (again) or how you can reasonably expect a greater than 60% CTR from here in what is actually 3 1/2 months. I originally thought that was 6 but we've already passed 2 1/2 months.

Anything can happen but what is the probability?

Dan, I was hoping it WAS blasphemy, so I guess I didn't go far enough.

I enjoy seeing Brinker take a fall. I'm sure he is hurting even though he can never admit it.

Why would I want to see Brinker hurting? Because he is selfish, and obviously does not care about those whom he has hurt. Besides, he is an egomaniac, he is rude to his callers, and ran his website like a Nazi.

THERE! Is that BLASPHEMY enough?

Yes, but perhaps he can complete the fall at a slightly later date so that everyone who is with him can let go of his deteriorating coat tails.

It seems that more people are finding their way here. I wonder what the others who used to lurk on the BB boards are doing about now?

Since the QQQ call to "Buy immediately" did not show up in the model portfolios, I don't suspect he would give much more advice than he did when he recommended UTEK or TEFQX and these crashed. He can crow on the Radio about how smart he was to be in mostly cash and not take any calls from MT subsctibers that "knew the risks" and bought QQQs that he didn't recommend in his model portfolios. This IS what happened!

He can say it is a "2002 story" and for QQQ holders to stay the course. He won't sell at a loss as that would be an admission of defeat and we have not seen that before in the newsletter.

Who really cares WHAT he thinks will happen in the short term? The last time he printed an exact prediction, it was for a gain "in excess of 20%" from the recently established low of 75. Well, we are NOW at $54, down 28% from his low and down (83-54)/83 = 36% from the entry point for most at $83. Why would ANYONE really care what he had to predict unless it was for a contrarian play?

I'd advise writing the experience off to "tuition" and then look at the price of today and see if you like it going forward. Cisco at $34 and JDSU at $40 are sure better prices then at their peaks. QQQ at $54 is a heck of a lot better than when it was $115

Will it go lower? Ask a fortune teller at a carnival as they are the ONLY ones that really know.

I'm betting that the QQQ trade--his bullish model's prediction will be getting decreasing attention, as in zero on the website and a Utek type mention in the newsletter unless there is a turnaround.

A couple things that I'd imagine were in his mind when he closed down the website was to stop reminding everyone of the QQQ trade and stop people participating in it from communicating about it. I'm still not certain that the bulletin he sent in October could not result in some legal liability, judging by how many brokers have been sued successfully for recomending "inappropriate" investments. Thirty percent of someone's portfolio sent into this trade with little guidance or followup and no explanation of risk "appropriate". I dunno but I'm guessing he's sweating a little.

So I look for the QQQ call to be the forgotten call very quickly. If he continues on the radio look for it to sound that he has been 100% in cash and never even recommended a trade. Also look for him not to mention the ability to find those "counter trend rallies" in a bear market. The focus will shift to "Ain't I smart for going to cash last January and avoiding this carnage" and " I'll tell you when Moabo gets here".
QQQ's will be topic-non-grata.

UTEK and TEFQX were only 4% of the portfolio correct? This is up to 1/3rd. This one is very different and cannot be shoved under the carpet quite so easily. That is even if SR, JR and Justa are all sitting on that carpet holding it down for dear life.

Hey, it was advertised in a special bulletin so that he could make sure you didn't miss this opportunity to lose.

As a total aside, is David K the reason the signoff to the show now includes a warning not to summarize the show?

Didn't someone get sued or threatened with a suit for posting summaries? Perhaps that was just a rumor but why is David doing those summaries or does he have special arrangements?

It seems like a lot of work for zero reward or maybe I don't understand the situation.

Oh yes, what in the world is wrong with summaries of a free radio program? Critics are always summarizing and criticizing shows, programs, movies, etc.
