With Fidelity closing a few of there funds to new investors brings up this new topic.

We are not talking about closed-end funds, which have a limited number of shares and may trade at discount to market value. Clearly the two are as different as night and day.

Lets briefly explore the performance of mutual funds that are closed. Some say closed funds under perform others say not. Lets see what can be posted on some the funds that have been closed in the past for performance after closure. Do remember to compare to the correct bench mark that the fund is aligned to, i.e., S&P 100 or 500, Russell 1, 2, 3000, Wilshire 4500, 5000,etc!

Should be an interesting to see a how it will turn out!
