» dewam - thanks Hugs,

thanks Hugs, When I see the bid, ask, and trade, I was assuming the trade was actually a swap between to parties. I was forgetting about the marketmakers profit, and as you pointed out they are not going to let me do that. One nice thing about reading your posts, I usually learn something, and if not, then at least I've been entertained. Thanks for doing both this time. Den

» Jaynee - All *I* know

All I know is that I really hope this thing rises a bit in the next few months - specifically by next February. Hubbie and I want to buy a house and it would be nice to sell some of these shares for a profit to use for part of the down payment. Hubbie is not happy that I didn't let him sell some when it was at 11 many months ago. But I told him to hold off because we weren't near the actual home-buying time. So I hope BOWG goes that high again by February so that I can save face when we go to buy a house. =)

» Kirk - A good Read

http://www.ragingbull.altavista.com/mboa...

A GOOD READ:
Sorry I haven't responded sooner, I have been away from the office on a
biking holiday.

I understand your concern regarding the stock price. We are currently in a
Member acquisition phase as it is Members who are pivotal to our ecommerce
plan. We are following the model we laid out long ago and are pleased with
the milestones being met. We raised the funds in the market to do exactly
what we are doing and I can assure you we have not wavered from our original
path. As for the market and consequently the share price, the Company does
not have control over the market, only the operation of the Company. And
from an operational perspective, things are very positive here at Suite. We
are continually adding new Members, our Editor numbers are up as are the
number of applications to become Editors. Our affiliate program is booming
and our infrastructure is continually being upgraded. We hired 5 new
employees in May and they have integrated exceptionally well into our
environment and are making positive contributions. We are continuing to
spread the Suite101 word through our participation at conferences and are
actively seeking a strategic partner (there has been a fair bit of interest
in Suite as we are one of the few web directories that has not been "snapped
up" through a merger or acquisition). We are launching our Millennium
Directory project shortly and feel that it will be readily and
enthusiastically accepted by our users.

Regarding stock price, it is our assumption that when Suite announces
something
of significance, that the market will react. Until then, there is not
really any reason for
the price to increase in the short term unless the Internet sector as a
whole has a rally.

In response to your query regarding pr: we are in development, we have not
had
many "newsworthy" statements to release - this is not a consequence of there
being nothing happening on the homefront, in fact, it is just the opposite,
but corporately it important that we release truly newsworthy items, not
just updates. There is no point of issuing a release just for the sake of
issuance.
We so not have a PR company under contract and currently PR is a
collaborative
effort at Suite. We do not have a dedicated PR employee(s) but do intend to
focus
more on this area in the fall.

Regarding revenue, we currently do not generate any revenues. We raised the
funds
in the market to provide capital to build our membership base and to upgrade
our
infrastructure. To find out more about our revenue model please see the
following url:
http://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/8...

I send out a monthly investor newsletter that is also posted on the site,
informing investors
about what's new at Suite. I will be add you to the distribution list so
look for an update
in September!

I feel very positive about Suite and our strategies and objectives, and am
confident it will be reflected in the stock price. This is not a short term
hold but rather a longer term commitment. If you have further questions,
please do not hesitate to contact me.

Regards,

Sara McGladdery
Director of Investor Relations

» Phish - Affiliate Update

Nothing new, but good to read they're still on schedule.
From the Affiliate Update:

Coming Soon - Suite101's new Best-of-Web Directory The public launch of our new Directory, which will classify our content according to the Dewey Decimal System and Library of Congress Subject Headings, is currently scheduled for mid September. This launch will include the release of Suite101's new search engine, some changes to the overall look and feel of Suite101, and some minor improvements/changes aimed at encouraging more members to post article comments and participate in topic discussions.

This directory will improve enormously the searching capabilities at Suite101, enabling our Members to find what they are looking for... and fast! This is something that anyone who uses the Internet will be interested in, so be sure to spread the news as you build up the Suite Community!

» Hugs - This little bow wow.

You'd think that the seller's would just plain wear out after 6 month, wouldn't you?

Well... another couple of weeks, and maybe we'll finish wringing every last nickle and dime out of the pockets of all the wimps and unbelievers that have been choking and puking on these cheap prices the lately. A few more kinks. Another twist. Another lump and a bump and a twist. Shake every penny out that will come out.

Was sort of thinking there might be another opportunity for some in the low 70's, but it sure looks like there's some pretty stiff resistance is rubbing against right now. The selling pressure will continue until one day, it simply vanishes. Naturally, Murphy's Law (or whatever law it's called... it surely must be called some sort of law) dictates that all the selling pressure will cease shortly before there is a sudden increase in demand for the stock, at which time it will seem that nobody wants to sell any stock.(And such timing just might provide for one helluva wild ass ride.)

The clock, is still ticking.

» JenL_2 - Kirk, is there a future for Suite101?

These posts copied from "Kirk's Market Thoughts":

Kirk,

I've followed this and various finance/invest discussions here at Suite101 for well over a year, and appreciate everyone's valuable insights. But how long can Suite101 be expected to function? The BOWG.OB quotes are not pretty.

Have you read the 10K and our Suite101 thread here?

Many of the answers are here:

http://www.suite101.com/info.cfm/About_S...

where management discusses how much cash they have, how long they expect it to last and what they hope to accomplish.

Do your own Due Dilligence and decide if you believe them.

None of the internet companies with zero revenue that have gone public have pretty charts so I don't let our ugly chart bug me much. I've always looked at buying shares in the company as a "Venture Capital" type risk where the odds are 1 in 10 of a home run and 9 in 10 of something less including complete loss of all money invested. I like the odds for this company hence I've invested valuable time as well as money, but I could easily be wrong.

I SHOULD move this question to our BOWG thread, but ..... any followup or additional questions on BOWG should be asked here
