For those that don't know about the "head fake" the market makers do with this stock. They seem to get a buy order. When this happens, they OFTEN bring it way down on a tiny order to sucker the foolish shares to panic… Then they use that fear to buy the larger volume of shares. Look at the chart FOR TODAY and see how they probably sold each other a few shares to open the stock way down early. Then the sucker shares came where they filled some of the order at 47¢ then they've had to pay more to fill the rest of the order with the largest volume so far paying 52¢. Here are my personal transactions for BOWG the past two years: This just shows how you can trade a stock you've lost money in and make most of it back. My newsletter cost basis for BOWG is 61¢ a share now after some trading like this. BOWG has broken the downtrend with a higher high. <img src=http://cbs.marketwatch.com/charts/int-ad... width=452 height=366> Look at what it did as a stock last year… It had a bear market between Sept and mid Dec as it made a series of higher highs and lows until a bottom under a dime. About mid December last year, it rallied from 6¢ to over 50¢. It seems something similar is happening this year. This sort of volatility is great for people like me but many get caught up in stocks that make huge gains and buy only to have the market makers then take the stock down to get these folks to book losses. Then they do it all over again. Over half a million shares traded yesterday. I wonder if we could use some sort of TA to see when the stock will roll over again? I still hold some shares bought as low as 12 cents. I sold some at 48¢ and 64¢ this year during some of those rallies and then bought some back at 25¢ in August. I still have some WCOM losses to take so I might sell the recently bought BOWG shares into this rally to take gains and offset the WCOM losses. <img src=http://cbs.marketwatch.com/charts/int-ad... width=452 height=366> The thing to remember is this is pure speculation. The stock is just a holding company for about $3M in cash with no business model. I expect the holding company to do an IPO when they find a new business that will sell well. This Stock has been a good money maker the past few years. At today's price, I'm even ahead on all my newsletter BOWG buys and sells. Up 97.4% YTD! I just sold some more at $0.77 to lock in gains in my IRA. A triple on shares I bought last year but I've got some shares bought even lower (and still some high priced shares I lost money on in 2000). Needed to offset the WCOM tax loss coupons from last year I carried over to 2003. Now I am in the mode of selling some every time it goes up as this has grown to be a significant (3% or more) percentage of my portfolio. I sell some every time it goes up to try to limit my exposure.
